Connecting External Speakers
You can enhance the sound quality of your notebook by puchasing and
connecting external speakers. See the manual supplied with the speakers for
more information on their installation and use.
Before you connect external speakers
❑ Make sure your speakers are designed for notebook use.
❑ Turn down the volume of the speakers before you turn them on.
To connect external speakers
❑ Locate the Headphone jack identified by the symbol on the back panel of
the notebook. Plug the speaker cable into this jack.
Do not place floppy disks on the speakers; the speakers’ magnetic field may
damage the data on the floppy disks.
